The
Bobcats finished there best season in the history of Ohio lacrosse with a heartbreaking loss to Maryland
in the semi finals of the NCLL playoffs. Previous two time NCLL champs, Maryland
Terps, had come out firing getting a quick first goal. The Bobcats only able
to respond after three goals had been scored. Ohio’s valiant effort was to little to late, it seemed like the playoff experience
of the Terps allowed them to control the tempo of the game. Maryland
went on to the championship where they lost to Towson 14 –
10.
However, The Bobcats are locked and loaded ready
for the upcoming fall ball season to start. It seems that revenge is in order
for the young Bobcats who only lost 3 seniors and are set around a core group of freshmen starters. A large, talented, freshmen class is expected to attend tryouts in the fall. Although the 2006 season came with bitter taste, the Cats look to make 2007 sweet.
